A COVID-19 Pandemic Zoom Wedding

Smaller weddings are inherently more intimate, but 2020’s weddings are hardly comparable to what I have documented in the past. Although the pandemic caused a significant impact on all celebrations, I quickly discovered that the reason for exchanging vows was not affected. As I’m sure you’ve heard by now, love was and is not canceled.

With the addition of Zoom, guests from across the world were able to still be present at Katie and Tim’s wedding at Bay Pointe Inn in Shelbyville, MI via a live stream. Laughs, smiles, and drinks were shared together. Katie and Tim were able to spend a few moments chatting one-on-one with each of their guests following the ceremony.

The family members in attendance quarantined prior to the wedding day to ensure everyone present could mingle as if it was a normal, albeit more intimate, wedding day.
