Personal: The Salisbury Museum, Sand Lake Historical Society in Sand Lake, MI

I planned a visit to the Salisbury Museum at Salisbury Park in the tiny village of Sand Lake, Michigan — about a twenty five minute drive north from Grand Rapids.

Museums, small and large, are one of the best tools to utilize to connect with the past and further our understanding between large gaps of time as well as cultures and subcultures. An odd visit to an overlooked museum is rarely disappointing in my experience.
